Spring birds / Wiosenne ptaszki

I know that you like my detailed posts with pictures of progress. But let me confess that it's much bigger pleasure to create so intense that you have no space for taking pictures and thinking about anything else. That's how was with these birds. Since the idea popped in my head I wasn't able to stop until it was almost done:
Well, maybe it doesn't look like "done" but it was the first moment when I knew everything and the rest was just a matter of details and finishing. So it is the first picture I took. It is also the first stop in my process. Yes, it was like sewing in trans for hours. Then I could slow down and breath again.
And decide what do I want for a border. I thought that this beautiful brown/blue linen will be the best choice.
Then I quilted the birds:
Potem wypikowałam ptaszki:
And the rest was in finishing handwork touches - not a lot of it this time, just for the birds :)
When it was finished I decided to make it available for sale both as original HERE and as prints HERE. Why? Because this design looks pretty good in prints too, just look :)
A dlaczego?

Happy Spring!
Wesołej Wiosny!

Fantastycznie wyszły w druku !
Ale tu wesoło. Cudne ptaszki.
Chyba je dzisiaj słyszałam na spacerze.

Bozena, I am so glad of the first day I saw one of your beautiful pieces- Every time you create, I am in awe of your craftsmanship and your attention to design and detail!
I wish I could afford a larger piece, but for now, I am off to purchase this mug for more coffee or tea, so I shall have it with me when I create! xo

Bozena, I always enjoy your depiction of nature and bird life. I too am fascinated by the natural world and on a journey to try to interpret what I see using textiles. You have captured the happy twittering of spring birds in this piece!
