Painterly / Malarsko

It turned out that I needed some break from intricacy after completing my Victorian lady. So I went into something totally different - landscape with big spots of color and just a few beads :)
Więc poszłam w inną stronę - pejzaż z dużymi plamami koloru i zaledwie paroma koralikami :)

What is the most surprising in this art quilt is the background - hand dyed by myself! It happens sometimes but in general it is a rare thing. This time I had a piece of a vintage linen of very high quality so I knew it will take the color very easy and (what's more important) the color will stay there.
I just wanted to feel like a painter - facing blank canvas and listening to what it wants to be. In this case "blank canvas" looked like this:
And it looked like done. The only thing to do, was to quilt it with horizontal lines, add some interesting details and find the title.
Właściwie gotowe. Trzeba było tylko delikatnie wypikować długimi poziomymi liniami, dodać kilka ciekawych szczegółów i tytuł.

It is all done - "Under the blue sun" textile landscape for you to enjoy.
But wait, there is more. The dyed linen in fact was bigger. And frankly speaking I didn't know in which direction I liked it more. So I split it for to narrow pieces and decided to make one horizontal and another vertical. Well, the vertical one causes some problems - it's difficult to show on the picture. So you will see it partially and we're starting from the top:
Więc podzieliłam go na pół i zrobiłam jedną poziomą i jedną pionową. No to zrobimy serial, zaczynamy od góry:
Part two:
Część druga:
Now you know we are in the forest. Next part:
Już wiecie, że jesteśmy w lesie. Następna:
Yes, we are almost done, the last part:
Prawie koniec, teraz ostatnia:
And here it is in one piece:
A tak wygląda w całości:
"Golden forest" - hot wave in the woodland. The "blank canvas" here looked like this:
"Złoty las" - fala upałów w lesie. A "czyste płótno" do tego wyglądało tak:

But it is after adding some yellow dyes to this half of the linen piece. Again, quilting is rather simple but I added some gold paint for the leaves and a bit more beads:
So I didn't make any progress on the artworks already started but sometimes, when your inner painter calls, you just have to listen :)

Pozdrawiam serdecznie
