Lady in the garden / Dama w ogrodzie

One of ideas I wanted to develop in my art this year is "merging". I'm fascinated by the fact that what we see (literally or not) is usually the result of different elements merged so well that it is impossible to recognize them. But when we step back in time we can see the process  and suddenly all those elements are clearly seen and we are surprised by the diversity of them and the role they played. Sounds complicated? It's not so. If the lady on the picture above looks familiar you may remember another work of mine with similar lady:
Yes, it is my heroine from Victorian patterned garden - see her story HERE. So now I revisited her with her garden in mind. She is long gone but old gardens are still here. And when you think about the story of an old garden it became obvious that it is the result of many "foot prints" left both by their makers and users. Those ladies are still there.
And I managed to capture one of them while merging into the garden :)
It was a bit time consuming but it was a good time.
Trochę to było czasochłonne, ale miłe.
And if you like my "Lady in the garden", you can give her a call :) More prints HERE.
A jeżeli podoba Wam się moja "Dama w ogrodzie", możecie nawet z niej zadzwonić :) Więcej druków TUTAJ.

So lovely! Yes, your interpretation embodies the merging spot on. While I was reading your story regarding this, I suddenly recalled my maternal grandfather's (he was Polish, too!) garden in the city. Always many flowers. Good memory of when I was a little girl. Bless you, Sue
