No, it isn't a new castle inspired by my short vacations. In fact, the castle is rather old and you may know it very well. Nie, to nie jest nowy zamek inspirowany moim krótkim urlopem. Zamek jest stary i pewnie go dobrze znacie.  It happens quite often that I use castles as the element of Medieval landscapes. But some weeks ago I was asked to make a small artwork with the castle as the main and only thing. My customer knew very well what she wanted and was very specific about the details. It was quite a challenge for me to be sure that I get her correctly. So it took many emails and pictures exchanges, many questions and answers and... many ideas for castle art were born as a side projects. My customer wanted her castle for the boy's room. Does it look familiar to you? If not, don't worry - it took me many hours of constant working on this background until I realized that I did something like this earlier before. Oh, that's easy - it comes from everywhere :) Last year (thanks to Janet !) I bought this book. It is a great book, with lots of illustrations and interesting facts. You have to know that I have a work in progress (from years now) "Castle of love" and in this book I've found some more castles of this type! Anyway - I thought it would be a good idea to focus on love and to study this topic in the kitchen context. When I was playing with ideas for castles , my friend visited Copenhagen and took a picture of an interesting piece of furniture: W tym samym czasie, gdy ja obmyślałam różne warianty zamków , moja przyjaciółka przywiozła mi z Kopenhagi zdjęcie takiego mebelka: The strange castles depicted on this cupboard (?) immediately made me to want to sew something similar. Momentalnie zapragnęłam uszyć coś z takimi zameczkami. So I jumped on the castle roll  and decided to go bigger this time - and went for "The land of castles": Powymyślałam więc swoje zameczki w podobnej konwencji i tym razem zaszalałam - stworzyłam całą "Krainę zamków". It is really quite big - 22 x 35 in and I'm so happy with the result that it hangs in my living room already. As for the small ones - they are published! Jest całkiem spora - 56 x 88 cm i tak mi się podoba, że powiesiłam ją sobie w centralnym miejscu salonu. A małe zameczki znalazły się w nowym numerze branżowego magazynu
