Yes, I have a thing with mother of pearl :) I guziki. Tak, ja mam coś na perłowe. But the funny thing is, that I decided not to use the heart buttons on my quilt :( So where the love is? Here: Ale najweselsze jest to, że zdecydowałam nie używać jednak serduszkowych guzików :( No to gdzie ta miłość? A tu: My good wife prefers appliqued hearts much more :) Dobra żona jednak woli aplikowane serca :)

I think that this vintage linen print will be very good for her. And a bit of vintage richelieu to add some softness. Myślę, że taki stary lniany druk będzie dla niej bardzo dobry. I kawałek starego richelieu dla miękkości. Now she can feel like a real lady :) Teraz już może czuć się jak prawdziwa dama :)

Oh, that's easy - it comes from everywhere :) Last year (thanks to Janet !) I bought this book. It is a great book, with lots of illustrations and interesting facts. You have to know that I have a work in progress (from years now) "Castle of love" and in this book I've found some more castles of this type! Anyway - I thought it would be a good idea to focus on love and to study this topic in the kitchen context. If you ask me where to keep those placemats, the answer is easy - in a bowl :) Jeżeli pytacie, gdzie trzymać te podkładki, odpowiedź jest prosta - w misce :) Yes, I made a textile bowl. Maybe it's not suitable for real herrings but very good for all the small dry (!) things messing around. And it is flexible :) Tak, uszyłam szmacianą miskę. Może nie jest ona najodpowiedniejsza do prawdziwych śledzi, ale jest bardzo dobra na wszystkie suche (!) drobiazgi poniewierające się dookoła. Here they are. Much more delicate than the ones from last year. Oto one. Znacznie delikatniejsze niż te z ubiegłego roku. But that's because of the new (and now favorite) receipe - herrings on the swedish way. They are sweet (and sour too)! And the rose is here not because of beets but because of red onion :) Ale to z powodu nowego (i obecnie ulubionego) przepisu - śledzie po szwedzku. One są słodkie (ale kwaśne też)! A róża to nie z powodu buraków, ale z powodu czerwonej cebuli :) And here is the source of inspiration - the real ones, yummy :) A tutaj źródło inspiracji - te prawdziwe, pyszne :)

Hope it will be a good one! And a New Year I'm starting low - from the placemats. This is a part of my own collection. Some of them are over 10 years old! And still in everyday use :) Miejmy nadzieję, że będzie dobry! A ja Nowy Rok zaczynam skromnie - od podkładek po talerze. To część mojej własnej kolekcji. Niektóre mają już ponad 10 lat! I ciągle w codziennym użytku :) I also have a customer who keeps buying them from me and still wants more. Well, to be honest, I wasn't very eager in making them. But now, I switched my mind and thought "why not to make some placemats just for fun?". Let's say, with herrings...? Mam taką klientkę, która ciągle je ode mnie kupuje i ciągle chce więcej. Powiem szczerze, nie przepadałam za robieniem podkładek. Ale teraz, zastanowiłam się i pomyślałam "a właściwie dlaczego nie zrobić jakichś podkładek tak po prostu, dla zabawy?". Powiedzmy, ze śledziami...? Now they are still wet, so I will take a picture for the next post.
