Plant a tree / Posadź drzewo

Yes, it is tree time here! And testing new idea of professional framing my small textile artworks. Just look: Tak, czas na drzewa! I próby nowego sposobu ekspozycji małych form - profesjonalna oprawa. Tylko spójrzcie: This Silver Tree is about 12 x 13 cm (5 x 5.5 in) heavily quilted, embroidered and beaded. And now see this little jewel framed: To Srebrne Drzewo ma ok. 12 x 13 cm i jest dość intensywnie pikowane, haftowane i jeszcze koralikowane. It is available for sale HERE with definitely more to come :) It has to be something in the air for trees because at my last workshop this past Saturday I was asked to carry the one about trees. That's sounds perfect - I love making trees and it feels good to share my ideas with the students. It is good to be a teacher / Fajnie być nauczycielem

So I'm back from my first teaching adventure. Oh my, it was FUN! I didn't suppose it may bring so many good things to me. First of all - people. Organizers created really creative and cozy atmosphere in Szkoła Patchworku and supplied with everything: from pencils through sewing machines, not to mention fabrics and threads. And students were simply wonderful. It feels pretty good to meet in real readers of my blog, admirers of my art who want to talk about it and learn from me. You know that I wanted to start from the small houses and I think it was a good choice. All of my students were pretty skilled in sewing so they had no technical difficulties and we were able to focus on the artsy side of their houses. Pierwsza lekcja za mną. I było fantastycznie! Nie przypuszczałam, że takie spotkanie dostarczy mi tak wielu wrażeń i to bardzo przyjemnych. Przede wszystkim - ludzie.
