White life / Życie w bieli

Ok, so you wonder what is so interesting in this white-grey landscape for me, right? The white part, snow.
Because the snow made the whole landscape to look like a tapestry. Or gobelin. Or lace. And I thought it would be great to create this feeling with just a white thread. If it was on a sunny day it would be more crispy and contrast. But there was no sun. And it looked soft and dreamy.
W słoneczny dzień powietrze byłoby bardziej przejrzyste, a widok bogatszy w kontrasty. Ale słońca nie było. I wszystko wyglądało sennie i miękko.
The trees are obvious. But how to add the lacey factor? Fortunately I have a close friend, Federico Vinciolo, who is always a big help in cases like this.
Drzewa były proste. Gorzej z ideą koronki. Na szczęście mam  bliskiego przyjaciela, Federico Vinciolo, który zawsze chętnie pomaga w takich przypadkach.
It is enough to look through all these patterns and you are inspired.
Wystarczy przejrzeć te wszystkie wzory i już wiadomo co robić.
You see?
Widzicie?
Here is my lace :) Or rather a place for my lace. And now it is to cover it with white thread.
To moja koronka :) A raczej miejsce na nią. Teraz wystarczy tylko pokryć je białą nitką.
I keep adding white stitching here and there. When I'm tired with the lace part, I can add a tree or some French knots.
No i tak sobie pokrywam pomalutku. Jak mnie zmęczy część koronkowa, dodaję drzewko albo trochę francuskich supełków.
In fact, I could work on it all days long. Which is impossible because of such a short daylight time. What a pity I didn't start it in June :)
Prawdę powiedziawszy, mogłabym nad tym pracować bez przerwy. Jest to, niestety, niemożliwe z powodu dramatycznie krótkiego czasu z naturalnym, dziennym światłem. Szkoda, że nie zaczęłam tego w czerwcu :)

Wow, I love the way you incorporate the needle lace and embroidery techniques in this project!
Oh Wow!! This is so wonderfully detailed and all so historically correct - just typical of your attention to detail. That book looks really interesting - I may hunt it down! Have a great Christmas! xCathy
