The Textile Cuisine

 I had to put Auriculas into the title just in case you wouldn't recognize them in the picture :) So, it is not that I was going to sew hen ornaments but instead switched into primroses. No, the idea of this art quilt was born 3 years ago, when I learned about Auriculas Theatres. Anglicy mają taką piękną tradycję prymulkowych teatrzyków. I to nie jest tak, że miałam szyć kury, ale zmieniłam zdanie i machnęłam prymulki. Nie, ten pomysł urodził się 3 lata temu, jak dowiedziałam się o tych kwiatowych teatrach. I guess, the first time I saw it was in Janet Haigh's book (take a look at her blog where is even more about her take on this subject). But then came the book about Mrs Delany and her lovely flowers or wonderful gentle author's Spitalfields blog posts . So the idea was born and seemed easy to do. Pierwszy raz chyba z książki Janet Haigh (ale jeszcze więcej ma na blogu ). Ale potem też z książki o Pani Delany i jej botanicznych kreacjach, no i na pewno z londyński

Yes, I know, you may be slightly mad at me for not posting for a long time and now posting too much stuff at once. But I hope that upcoming Holidays will give you some time to chew it all slowly :) It just goes without my control - when I started this serie of small artworks "Windows to the past" I had no clue I will end with the big one too. Wiem, wiem - możecie się troszkę denerwować, że długo się nie odzywam, a potem tyle rzeczy na raz. Ale idą Święta i na pewno znajdziecie czas, żeby sobie to wszystko powolutku przetrawić :) Ja po prostu nie mam nad tym kontroli - nie przypuszczałam, że po serii małych okienek "Windows to the past" będę musiała uszyć również jedno całkiem spore: And you bet it took some time to create :) I domyślacie się, że to chwilę mi zajęło :) But to be honest, it all started from ... the barn. Ale tak naprawdę, wszystko zaczęło się od... stodoły. And why the barn? Because I saw this picture : A dlaczego stodoła?
