The Textile Cuisine

I start with too much precious scraps I just don't want to throw out. I organize them and glue with the iron to fliseline. Ja zaczynam od zbyt dużej ilości cennych skrawków, których nie mogę po prostu wyrzucić. Układam je sobie na kawałku flizeliny i przyprasowuję. Then I sew them randomly just for security. This way I have one piece of a "fabric". Just to add some batting and to back it with a piece of cotton. Teraz przeszywam je troszkę, ot tak dla zabezpieczenia. W ten sposób mam jeden kawałek "tkaniny". Dodaję ocieplinę i bawełniany spód. Now I quilt it but not as a regular quilt - it is rather to keep the layers together and to secure most of fraying edges: Teraz pikuję, ale tylko tak delikatnie, żeby warstwy się nie rozjeżdżały i żeby ograniczyć strzępienie:   Now, as I have the "content" I can divide it into as many bracelets as I want: Teraz, jak mam już "treść", mogę ją podzielić na tyle bransoletek na ile chcę:

  I know I'm quiet but I'm still busy. And, unfortunately, there's not much going on art wise. The big news is that my "Global Village" returned home after two years of travelling. Yes, I missed her :) Wiem, że straszna tu cisza, ale ciągle jestem bardzo zajęta.  I, niestety, niekoniecznie artystycznie. Jedyną większą nowinką, jest powrót mojej "Globalnej Wioski" po dwóch latach podróżowania, do domu. Tak, stęskniłam się za nią :)   And the small news is that I'm working on the new line of trees: A z mniejszych nowin to pracuję teraz nad nową serią drzew:   They will be in my shop but not yet. You are the first to see them. They are a bit bigger than the one in circles (9 x 12 cms) but still considered as small.  I have to tell you that the best part of being on etsy is meeting other artists and looking at their fantastic artwork. I decided to share with you some of my favorites. So as I'm in the tree mood today, please let me introduce the art

  On Sunday my daughter was kind enough to give me some big critique on my shop :) So I've spend the day exchanging pictures (like the one above into the one below) W niedzielę, moja córka była tak uprzejma, żeby skrytykować mój sklepik :) I tak spędziłam dzień na wymianie zdjęć (na przykład tego powyżej na to poniżej)   hiring the model :) zatrudnieniu modelki :) and adding new hens   i dodawaniu nowych kur   So now it's just waiting for the big sales :) Thank you, Dear Daughter!  Czyli teraz pozostaje już tylko czekanie na wielki strumień sprzedaży :) Wielkie dzięki, Kochana Córeczko!

I like to work on this tree. It is sort of meditative. Especially when the weather cooperates - the outside world is totally white here. And it turned out that after the festival I'm in the selling mood. So I took all my courage and started my very own etsy shop :) I'm just a beginner but I have some plans for development. Keep your fingers crossed! Dobrze mi się pracuje nad tym drzewkiem. Taka medytacyjna robótka. Zwłaszcza gdy pogoda sprzyja - na zewnątrz totalna biel. Ale okazuje się, że po festiwalu złapałam też "sprzedażowy" nastrój. No to wzięłam na odwagę i otworzyłam własny etsy sklepik :) To dopiero początki, ale mam już plany dalszego rozwoju.
