Red garden tapestry / Czerwony ogród

As you can see the heat wave kept me away from the blog. But it gave me some space for slow stitching and thinking. And while coming back to my blog after the break it dawned on me that I didn't show you the projects mentioned at the start but not when completed. Let's take for example the biggest one - "Red garden".
Jak widzicie fala upałów skutecznie powstrzymała mnie od blogowania. Ale też dała trochę więcej miejsca na spokojne, powolne szycie i myślenie. No i uświadomiłam sobie, że mam różne projekty o których rozpoczęciu pisałam, a skończonych nie pokazałam. Na przykład ten największy - "Czerwony ogród".

I started it 2 years ago (see it HERE), took some pictures during the process and the rest was lost in the long hours of hand stitching.
Zaczęłam go 2 lata temu (zobaczcie TU), zrobiłam kilka zdjęć w trakcie i przepadł w długich godzinach szycia ręcznego.

I like to call it "tapestry" because this term matches it much better than "art quilt". Although in fact it is an art quilt with the main part being modern embroidery, flat background with a soft drape and 3D appliqued flowers. No matter the name, it turned out quite impressive.
Nazywam go "tapiserią" bo jakoś lepiej ta nazwa pasuje do charakteru tej tkaniny. Ale w rzeczywistości to czysty art quilt z główną częścią będącą nowoczesnym haftem, płaskim falującym tłem i trójwymiarowymi aplikowanymi kwiatkami. Mniejsza o nazwę, całość wyszła imponująco.

 I'm going to keep it for myself (all the reds will work like heating spot for the winter's months) but the collection of prints is available for all HERE:

And I have some news to share too. It is a bit ironic that I took this blogging vacations just when my article on the importance of  blogging got published. But I didn't lie, my blog is very important to me and to my creativity.
Mam też nowinkę. Ironia losu sprawiła, że blogowe wakacje przypadły dokładnie na czas publikacji mojego artykułu o znaczeniu blogowania w życiu polskiej artystki tkaniny. Ale nie kłamałam, naprawdę blog ma w moim artystycznym życiu znaczenie kluczowe.
