The Textile Cuisine

I'm extremly busy. Unfortunately not with my art. But it's still around although quiet. Watching my blooming pansies immediately brings this old piece to mind - do you remember ? Bardzo jestem zajęta. Niestety, nie twórczością. Chociaż ona i tak wisi w powietrzu, chociaż po cichutku. Jak patrzę na moje kwitnące bratki, od razu przypomina mi się to - pamiętacie ? And now I even found some more of those wonderful threads: A teraz znalazłam nawet więcej tych cudownych nici: And another old work of mine: I inną starą pracę: It was a real surprise, because I didn't remember that I was thinking "quiltingly" (you see the layers of fabrics basted together?) so early. Well, this piece is almost 30 years old... Ta mnie totalnie zaskoczyła, ponieważ kompletnie nie pamiętałam, że moje "pikowane" myślenie (widzicie sfastrygowane warstwy?) zaczęło się tak dawno. No cóż, ten kawałek ma prawie 30 lat...   The blooming flowers make me to make more baskets :) Kwit

Here is my metalwork :) And - the process: A oto moja metaloplastyka :) I - jak się rodziła: When the skeleton is done the best part comes - filling it with fabric and thread. Kiedy szkielet całości jest gotowy, zaczyna się najfajniejsze - wypełnianie go tekstylną treścią.   And then it is just to prewash it so the whole intentional frying will stay in place. And - voila! The whole basket is 8 x 12 cms. And the ideas for the next ones are born :) A potem tylko muszę to wyprać, żeby wszystkie strzępiące się nitki znalazły swoje stałe miejsce. I proszę - gotowe! Ten koszyczek ma 8 x 12 cm. I oczywiście już mam pomysły na następne :)
