The Textile Cuisine

 If you remember my old interpretation of Hildegard's vision of the world you won't be surprised that I revisited it recently. But this time the result is a bit more dramatic - "Trees in purple" :) Jeżeli pamiętacie moją dawną interpretację wizji świata św. Hildegardy nie zdziwicie się, że znowu do niej wróciłam. Tylko teraz efekt jest nieco bardziej dramatyczny - "Fioletowe drzewa":) And this time I documented some steps from the process. So, here is the beginning: I nawet  udało mi się zrobić kilka zdjęć w trakcie tworzenia. No to tak to się zaczęło: My biggest challenge was to keep the circle circle (you know what I mean). More or less but it really looks like a circle and lies flat. Then came the branches: Największym wyzwaniem było zachowanie okrągłości kółka (wiecie co mam na myśli). Today I wanted to share a brand new idea I came up with - prints of my artworks. And the first volunteer was my dear Solist. Now it is printed on canvas: Dzisiaj chciałam się z Wami podzielić zupełnie nowym pomysłem -  wydrukami moich prac. Perwszym ochotnikiem był Solista. Tak wygląda drukowany na płótnie: It is smaller than original (7.5 x 9 inches), affordable, ready to frame or... to use in DIY project. I used it for a bag: Mniejszy niż oryginał (18 x 21 cm), tani, gotowy do oprawy ... albo wykorzystania we własnym kreatywnym projekcie. Ja uszyłam sobie z nim torbę: It is waterproof and washable. And the bag went through the shopping test successfully :) Ptaszek jest odporny na działanie wody i można go prać. A torba test sprawunkowy przeszła pomyślnie :) What do you think? One of my etsy's friends, Grace , gave me the great idea of incorporating my trees into bags. I loved this idea and here's the result. Jedna z moich etsowych koleżanek, Gracjana , podsunęła mi świetny pomysł, żeby robić moje okrągłe drzewka w formie torebek. Bardzo mi się on spodobał i oto efekt. More pictures you can see in my shop . Here I want to talk about something else. The ideas of bags were flying around my head from some time now. Last year was a great exhibition in Cracow totally devoted to bags. Unfortunately I couldn't see it but now I bought myself a catalog: Więcej zdjęć możecie zobaczyć w moim sklepie . A tutaj chciałabym opowiedzieć o czymś całkiem innym. Pomysły na torby chodziły mi po głowie już od dłuższego czasu. W ubiegłym roku była piękna torebkowa wystawa w Krakowie. Niestety, nie udało mi się jej obejrzeć, ale teraz kupiłam sobie jej katalog: Clever, isn't it? But it's not only a form, the content is great too: Sprytny, prawda? Ale świet...

Yes, the weather here is beautiful. And the mushrooms keep me busy in the kitchen. Tak, pogodę tutaj mamy piękną. A sezon grzybowy nie wypuszcza z kuchni. We eat them fresh and the challange is to find all the ways for different mushroom courses. Jemy je świeże, a wyzwanie polega na wyszukiwaniu nowych pomysłów na dania z grzybami. The picture above is of a nice (and yummy) pickled one, bought at the local market. Na zdjęciu powyżej prześliczny (i przepyszny) grzybek kwaszony, kupiony na rynku.   Do you remember her ? Now she helps me to develop some idea I was dreaming from a long time. Pamiętacie ją ? Teraz pomaga mi rozwinąć pewien pomysł, który chodzi za mną od baaardzo dawna. Yes, I'd like to have some images of my works printed on textiles for everyday use. I was doing this some years ago so now it's time to check new technologies in that matter. I think that the first try isn't bad. At least I know what should be changed to make it better :) Tak, chciałabym mie...

  On Sunday my daughter was kind enough to give me some big critique on my shop :) So I've spend the day exchanging pictures (like the one above into the one below) W niedzielę, moja córka była tak uprzejma, żeby skrytykować mój sklepik :) I tak spędziłam dzień na wymianie zdjęć (na przykład tego powyżej na to poniżej)   hiring the model :) zatrudnieniu modelki :) and adding new hens   i dodawaniu nowych kur   So now it's just waiting for the big sales :) Thank you, Dear Daughter!  Czyli teraz pozostaje już tylko czekanie na wielki strumień sprzedaży :) Wielkie dzięki, Kochana Córeczko!
