The Textile Cuisine

Now you can see that her dress will be "made out" of white roses. And her head isn't bald any longer :) Teraz widzicie, że jej suknia będzie "z" białych róż. I jej głowa już nie jest łysa :) And I'm coming back to my (new) daily routine so there's some hope for faster progress. A ja powoli wracam do (wprawdzie nowej) codziennej rutyny, więc jest nadzieja na szybszy postęp.

You see? I didn't lie :) Widzicie? Nie kłamałam :)

Yes, that's how dirty plates look like in a poet's kitchen . Tak, tak właśnie wyglądają brudne talerze w kuchni poetki .  Don't even ask me how I know how the piled, undone dishes look like... I nawet nie pytajcie, skąd wiem jak wygląda stos niezmytych naczyń... But there's something else... Ale jest tu coś jeszcze... Yes, you guessed it right - it is the dirty square of the window :) Tak, zgadliście - to brudny kwadrat okna :)

   Here she is - in full glory! Oto i ona - w pełnym blasku!  You know: "A good wife so proud was, to cook what her Men liked the most" But if you remember the beginning of this story , there's another one coming to us. This time inspired by a serious poem, which I'm going to present to you in the next post. And now I have to confess, that I've found another inspirational poem so it is turning into a serie of "women in the kitchens" :) Wiecie: "Dobra żona tym się chlubi, że gotuje co mąż lubi" Ale jeżeli pamiętacie początek tej historii ,  to wiecie, że nadchodzi następna. Tym razem inspirowana prawdziwym wierszem, który w następnym poście zaprezentuję. In the kitchen? Not much, just a table. But I made another tree. It is totally different from the previous ones and probably better as a pendant. It is also smaller - 8 cms in diameter. This tree is embroidered on a piece of silk stretched on a copper wire. W kuchni? Niewiele, tylko stół. Ale zrobiłam jeszcze jedno drzewo. Jest zupełnie inne od poprzednich i pewnie lepsze jako wisiorek. Jest także mniejsze - 8 cm średnicy. Drzewo jest wyhaftowane na kawałku jedwabiu, rozpietym na miedzianym drucie. And this tree reminds me that I should start finishing my apple tree :) A to drzewo przypomina mi, że powinnam zacząć kończyć moje jabłka/pomidory :)

This way you can go to another splendid kitchen - in Hampton Court . And if you want to see (not just imagine) how it worked in Middle Ages it is the best place to go. Ta uliczka prowadzi do kolejnej super kuchni - w Hampton Court . I jeśli sie chce zobaczyć (a nie tylko wyobrazić sobie) jak taka średniowieczna kuchnia działała to jest to chyba najlepsze miejsce. And if you want to see my kitchen equipped with some new copper pots - just look :) A jeśli chcecie zobaczyć moją kuchnię wyposażoną w nowe, miedziane naczynia, to po prostu spójrzcie :) It is a big fun to work on this kitchen. Mam dużo zabawy przy tej kuchni. I'm even afraid that's too much fun. Time is flying, my Market and Apples are not finished yet and I'm playing in the kitchen. So I have to discipilne myself and complete something before further play. Obawiam się nawet, że trochę za dużo. Czas płynie, Rynek i Jabłka nie skończone, a ja się bawię w kuchni. Muszę się trochę zdyscyplinować i wykończyć coś, zani

I know you will like the new additions because I put some goodies to the pantry :) Wiem, że nowe dodatki Wam się spodobają, bo włożyłam trochę smakołyków do spiżarni :) Do you remember "The Remains of the Day" movie? With its breathtaking kitchen? Pamiętacie film "Okruchy dnia"? Z tą zapierającą dech w piersiach kuchnią? Well, mine isn't as good (yet?) but is slowly getting better :) No cóż, moja nie jest aż taka (jeszcze?), ale powoli staje się coraz lepsza :)

These are the lids. To są pokrywki. And these - the plates :) A to - talerze :) That's how it looks now. It is going slowly because I have to be very carefuly in placing elements. I know what the result I want to achieve but don't exactly know how to do it. "The Merry Wives of Nurenberg" are not my only inspiration. In fact, I'm "collecting" images of interesting kitchens for years now. The best one I saw with my own eyes is in Weilburg (Germany). Tak to teraz wygląda. Idzie powoli, bo muszę długo się zastanawiać nad umieszczeniem każdego elementu. Wiem jaki efekt chcę osiągnąć, ale jeszcze nie wiem, jak to zrobić. "Wesołe kumoszki z Norymbergii" nie są moją jedyna inspiracją. Tak naprawdę, to "zbieram" różne ciekawe kuchnie od lat. Najlepsza, którą widziałam na własne oczy, jest w Weilburgu (Niemcy). But in Poland we have a nice collection of an old kitchen equipment collected by Przypkowski family and exhibited in their Museum in Ję

While sitting, embroidering, drinking coffee and thinking I found this: Jak tak sobie siedzę, haftuję, piję kawę i myślę to znajduję też różne ciekawe rzeczy: Pretty dreadfull, right? There's more of them, here . Good cooks from Nuremberg. But their kitchens aren't as bad. And for me, they are very inspirational. So I want to have one too. That's where my idea for the brown kitchen was born. Upiorna, prawda? A TU jest więcej takich. Dobre kucharki z Norymbergii. Ale ich kuchnie nie są takie złe. Dla mnie, na przykład, bardzo inspirujące. Dlatego też chcę mieć taką. Tu się właśnie narodził pomysł mojej brązowej kuchni. I've started with pantry and now have a stove too. Zaczęłam od spiżarni, a teraz mam też już piec. And there's still some work going on the market: I oczywiście cały czas dłubię przy ryneczku:

The idea for starting this blog was to keep track of all my "culinary" projects. You can still see my other works at www.picturetrail.com/bozenawojtaszek but here I want to share the process of creation. And the keyword for this year is "kitchen". There's a lot of aspects of it and I hope to capture some of them in my art. Główną ideą powstania tego blogu była chęć zebrania w jednym miejscu wszystkich moich "kulinarnych" projektów. Inne moje prace możecie zawsze obejrzeć w www.picturetrail.com/bozenawojtaszek , a tutaj chciałabym pokazać proces tworzenia. Hasłem tego roku jest "kuchnia". Można ją widzieć w różnych aspektach, a ja mam nadzieję, że uda mi się niektóre z nich uchwycić artystycznie. Botanical drawings are my constant inspiration from years.
