The Textile Cuisine

You didn't like it that I started Autumn so early but I can't help - it is in the air and on my mind. And here you see the proof - "Autumn in the orchard" :) Nie podobało Wam się, że tak wcześnie zaczęłam mówić o jesieni, ale cóż poradzę - czuję ją w powietrzu i w sobie. Najlepszym dowodem moje świeżutka "Jesień  w sadzie" :) Maybe working on this piece made me so positive for Autumn? Może to praca nad nią tak pozytywnie nastroiła mnie na jesień? Frankly speaking we have wonderful weather now - it is still hot in the sun but the air has its autumnal crisp already, which feels very fresh. Zresztą pogoda też całkiem całkiem - słonecznie, gorąco, ale powietrze miłe, chłodne i odświeżające. And the colors are shining - leaves are still green but the fruit and autumnal flowers burst with color. A kolory wprost świecą - liście jeszcze zielone i na ich tle feeria barw owocowo - kwiatowych. So don't blame me, it's not my fought, it is... Se...

As both of my eggs' sets has sold, I decided to make another one . This time with a little sun :) Cute, isn't it? Ponieważ obydwa zestawy jajeczne się sprzedały, postanowiłam zrobić jeszcze jeden . Tym razem ze słoneczkiem :) Słodki jest, prawda?

Here are you, my dear readers who wanted my ornaments. Oto Wy, moje drogie czytelniczki, które chciałyście moje ornamenty. And here you are rolled up :) A tu jesteście zrolowane :) And here is my hand :) A tu jest moja ręka :) Here is the first lucky one... Tu pierwsza szczęściara... ... and my hand again... ... i znowu moja ręka... ... and another lucky one! Who are you, you lucky ones? ... i druga szczęściara! Kim jesteście, szczęściary? Mystery solved, now we know everything: Potterjotter and jednoiglec , congratulations! Unfortunately you both voted for set #2 (what is so special in this set???), but Potterjotter said, she can take anything, so she will have set #1 :) So now, Potterjotter and jednoiglec it is your part - give me your addys (bewu@a21.pl) so I can mail the ornaments on 1st of December. Sorry, I would like to make a new post with some fresh news in it. But I can't help - I'm totally twisted on those small pieces. And now, as I have a few already, I started playing with them. Przykro mi, chciałabym zrobić nowy post z jakimś świeżym projektem. Ale nic nie poradzę - zakręciłam się na tych drobiazgach. A teraz, kiedy mam ich już kilka, zaczęłam się nimi bawić. You remember when I said "an orchard"... Pamiętacie, jak mówiłam "sad"... No, it's not my goal to cover the whole wall with them... But this could be great :) Nie, nie jest moim celem pokrycie całej ściany... Chociaż byłoby to cudowne :)

I'm not sure if you see all that handwork I put into it, but in reality it is clearly seen. Nie jestem pewna, czy widać tu tę całą ręczną robótkę, ale na żywo widać. So here are some close-ups: To może kilka zbliżeń: Well, I have to conffess, that the more it is finished the more I want to add something else :) But as for now it may hang and I can think if it really needs something else. Muszę się przyznać, że im bardziej ten rynek jest skończony, tym więcej chcę do niego dodawać :) Ale na razie może sobie spokojnie wisieć, a ja pomyślę, czy rzeczywiście jeszcze czegoś mu potrzeba. But I have also something totally new to share: Ale mam też coś całkiem nowego do pokazania: It is a brand new idea and I hope to develop it into something interesting. To zupełnie nowy pomysł i mam nadzieję jakoś ciekawie go rozwinąć. Not related with cooking but another attempt to trees. Let's name it the beginning of my new orchard :) Nie jest związany z gotowan...

If you think that handwork isn't tiring you are wrong. It is. Jeżeli myślicie, że ręczna robota nie jest męcząca to jesteście w błędzie. Jest. I like all the ideas coming to my mind while working on details but to make them into reality is a separate chapter. Lubię te wszystkie świetne pomysły, które przychodzą mi do głowy w trakcie dłubania szczególików, ale zrealizować je to zupełnie osobny rozdział. Let's take this raspberry. Wouldn't it be fun to have the whole border full of them? Weźmy taką malinkę. Nie byłoby fajnie mieć ich mnóstwo w całym obramowaniu? No, thank you :) So now I'm dreaming about making a new piece entirely by machine... And I know I want to make another kitchen. This time in browns. But it is difficult to start something new while you are so much involved in all these small things not-done-yet. I would prefer to have all the previous works finished, collected in the baskets with a nice feeling of a good harvest. Just like in this old work of mine...

I know that I'm going backward - all the trees are loosing their leaves and mine are getting new ones :) That's the power of creation, it is your world based on your rules. I like it :) Tomatos are growing up too :) Wiem, że idę w przeciwnym kierunku - teraz, gdy wszystkie drzewa tracą liście, moje zaczynają wypuszczać nowe :) To właśnie potęga tworzenia, budujesz świat na własnych zasadach. To miłe :) Pomidorki też rosną :) It is a nice, meditative process and you can see the progress with any single leaf added. Haftowanie tych listków to takie spokojne, medytacyjne zajęcie i od razu widać postęp. It seems that I have a thing with trees with fruit. I like them even more than the blooming ones. Last year I made a small orchard. Mam coś na drzewa z owocami. Lubię je nawet bardziej niż w czasie kwitnienia. W ubiegłym roku zrobiłam sobie mały sad. "Fruit Trees" 37 x 48 cms This way I have the fruit on trees whole year round, no matter what the weather brings us in realit...
