Spring? You mean just one? Oh no, there are three of them: Wiosna? Ale jak, tylko jedna? No nie, u mnie są trzy:  Yes, "Three Graces of Spring" - the newest, hot of the needle artwork from me. Just in time for the last day of Winter. If you wonder why there are three Spring ladies don't ask me - I have no clue. The basic idea was to play more with merging and gardens. And it looked rather dull at the beginning (mind you, it was in January, with short days and rather poor daylight): Tak, "Trzy Wiosenne Gracje" - najnowsza praca, prosto spod igły. Akurat na ostatni dzień zimy. Nawet nie pytajcie dlaczego trzy - nie mam pojęcia. Chciałam po prostu jeszcze trochę popracować nad zagadnieniem przenikania w ogrodzie. I na początku wyglądało to słabo (w styczniu dni krótkie, a światło marne): I wanted to focus on floral outfits just as if the Spring was literally entrancing the garden. I was lucky this year to spend a few days in Tatra's mountains watching the start of Spring. As you can see, I took them with me. Miałam szczęście w tym roku spędzić kilka dni w Tatrach obserwując nadejście wiosny w górach. Jak widać, przywiozłam je ze sobą.  You may guess that I like mountains :) I love them any time of year but probably have never seen them waking up after the winter. Jak się zapewne domyślacie, uwielbiam góry :) O każdej porze roku, ale chyba po raz pierwszy widziałam jak się budzą z zimowego snu. The air was crispy, but the sun was already high so the leftovers of snow were melting fast and first greens were already present.  Powietrze było jeszcze rześkie, ale słońce wysoko, więc resztki śniegu szybko topniały, a hale były już zielone. I know that you like my detailed posts with pictures of progress. But let me confess that it's much bigger pleasure to create so intense that you have no space for taking pictures and thinking about anything else. That's how was with these birds. Since the idea popped in my head I wasn't able to stop until it was almost done: Wiem, że lubicie moje szczegółowe posty ze zdjęciami z poszczegółnych etapów szycia. Ale przyznam się, że możliwość rzucenia się w wir tworzenia bez konieczności robienia zdjęć i zatrzymywania się co krok jest o wiele przyjemniejsza. Tak właśnie było z tymi ptaszkami. Jak tylko ten pomysł pojawił się w mojej głowie, zatraciłam się w nim i nie mogłam zatrzymać dopóki nie było gotowe: Well, maybe it doesn't look like "done" but it was the first moment when I knew everything and the rest was just a matter of details and finishing. A few weeks ago I was nicely surprised by Magda , who made beautiful angel and kindly credited my works for her inspiration. Her angel is amazing and you have to see it HERE . Her artwork reminded me of one of mine works in progress (not seen anywhere yet) - "All Saints".  I had to put Auriculas into the title just in case you wouldn't recognize them in the picture :) So, it is not that I was going to sew hen ornaments but instead switched into primroses. No, the idea of this art quilt was born 3 years ago, when I learned about Auriculas Theatres. Anglicy mają taką piękną tradycję prymulkowych teatrzyków. I to nie jest tak, że miałam szyć kury, ale zmieniłam zdanie i machnęłam prymulki. Nie, ten pomysł urodził się 3 lata temu, jak dowiedziałam się o tych kwiatowych teatrach. But then came the book about Mrs Delany and her lovely flowers or wonderful gentle author's Spitalfields blog posts . So the idea was born and seemed easy to do.
