Landscape continued / Ciągle pejzaż

I'm still working on this landscape but I don't like the results. I thought it is ready for framing and the only missing part is hand embroidery. But after waching I see I was wrong. There's much more missing and I don't know what. Maybe some more quilting? I have to rethink this whole piece once more. Ciągle pracuję nad tym pejzażem i nie podoba mi się. Myślałam, że jest już gotowy, tylko ramka, hafcik ręczny i już. Ale po wypraniu widzę, że byłam w błędzie. Tu jeszcze czegoś brakuje i nie wiem czego. Może więcej pikowania? Muszę całaą tą pracę przemyśleć jeszcze raz. I received lots of compliments for my beet soup. So I thought I will show you the real soup which inspired this quilt :) Dostałam dużo ciepłych słów na temat mojej botwinki. Więc pomyślałam, że pokażę Wam prawdziwą botwinkę, z której wzięła się ta praca :) This is before adding the cream. And this is the soup ready to eat. Bon apetite! To przed dodaniem śmietany. A to zupa gotowa do jedzenia. Smacznego!

Ta miska botwinki wzbudziła we mnie tęsknotę za latem. Botwinka w wydaniu chłodnikowym, ziemnaczki z koperkiem i błogie nieróbstwo.
I jeszcze... mnie się to jajko w warzywach bardzo a bardzo... :-)

Hello again after a long break! Well, I'm still working but mostly on secret projects and little or nothing to show. But now it's different - I finished this little jewel and have to share it with you immediately. The story of this "Botanical garden" started one year ago. Just after coming back from "Ziołowy Zakątek" - botanical herbal garden mentioned here many times. Witam po nieoczekiwanej przerwie! Old Garden collection / Ogrodowa kolekcja

Do you remember my mysterious "Old Garden" ? Now I call it finished! Next time when I start something like this, please remind me that it is not the fastest kind of work :) Pamiętacie mój tajemniczy "Stary Ogród" ? Uważam go za skończony! A następnym razem, jak się wezmę za coś takiego, przypomnijcie mi proszę, że to nie jest ekspresowa robótka :) But I have to confess - I love it! And I'm really glad that I made it. Ale przyznaję - uwielbiam go! I bardzo się cieszę, że zrobiłam coś takiego. I'm going to frame it professionally and put on a honorable place on the wall. With the pieces like this it is impossible to sell it - there's no money I would prefer to keep instead of this magical garden. It's not just the matter of the amount of time spent on this. It is more about my thoughts, some ideas and their execution, it is so much "me". Mam zamiar dać go do oprawy, a potem powiesić na honorowym miejscu. Takie rzeczy nie nada...

Dancing on many weddings

Ever wondered what the restaurant's backstage at wedding party looks like? I did. So here is my textile vision of such a place. Many tasteful dishes impatiently waiting for their turn, all dressed appropriately and a bit excited. The pans could easily recognize it is a wedding time by the special lighting turned on. Big chandelier spreads the golden light on everything for the bright prospect of newly-wed's life. Even the floor keeps tidy, arranging accidental rubbish into lace patterns... Let's not forget the wedding cake! I know it is just my fantasy and reality may be less charming. But... my art is to inspire and to beautify. So imagine my incredible joy when for my birthday this year I got this: With all the edible details instead of glass beads. "Dancing on many weddings" is 20.5 x 21.5 in, ready to hang on the wall. And the real cake? Well, I don't remember the size because it didn't last long enough!
